And the stocking stuffing begins

I’ve found that when I don’t plan ahead, my kids’ stockings somehow end up getting stuffed with whatever I can find at the drugstore at the last minute. Plenty of soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and such. So this year, I vow to start early and stuff those stockings with fun gifts that can be used outside the bathroom! I like the look of this magnifier I found on REI.com. My son LOVED the magnifying glass I got him from the Target dollar section, but it quickly warped and the glass fell out. This one doesn’t cost much more, but it looks like it could stand up to some heavy duty exploring. This magnifier would have come in handy this morning when my 3 year old was investigating a dead moth on the back patio. Imagine how much cooler those wings would have looked! This company also offers a combo whistle/compass/thermometer/magnifier for only $4. We’re going to have some seriously stuffed stockings this year. Joy!
