Fun Finds For Mom

Ants on a log (and other summer snacks)

I had a fun girls weekend with my daughter over the past few days, while the boys were on a Scout camping trip. We started the day yesterday with a big breakfast at Chompie’s (probably the most authentic New York deli in Phoenix) so we weren’t too hungry for lunch. I made “ants on a log” for a healthy afternoon snack, using dried cherries and butterscotch chips for a little something extra. Next time, I may try cream cheese in place of the peanut butter on a few of the logs.

If you’re looking for more summery snack ideas, I just wrote about some of my favorite classic summer snacks. See them all at SheKnows.com.

I’m so blessed to have them in my life. A story! Bryson (5 yrs old) and I were throwing bean bags back and forth. We quit playing but he kept carrying them around. I had put my feet up while sitting recliner. He came, stood next to me,with a bag in each hand. All of a sudden he slapped them on my chest and yelled Clear!! We both laughed so loud we woke the dog up! Then he kept doing it! What a great memory we both have! I am truly blessed.
