My mom called yesterday to tell me about some cute snack ideas she found in this month’s Family Fun magazine. These carrot patch snacks are my favorite. You just put some hummus (yum. love it.) in a 3 oz. cup, and put the cup inside a little terra cotta pot. Then poke a hole in the top of the baby carrots with a toothpick, and stick in a sprig of parsley.

While I love the look of these, and they’d be a fun snack to take to school when I’m “snack mom” I wonder how many preschoolers would actually like both hummus AND carrots. My daughter loves hummus. She also loves crunching carrots. And then spitting them into my hand after they’re not so crunchy. I think the Popcorn Banana Munch Mix might be a safer bet.
