Cinco de Mayo Pinata Pie!

You may have seen the Cinco de Mayo pinata cookies making their rounds on the Internet. These got me thinking — what other kind of food pinata could I make? How about a pinata pie? With frozen pie dough, you can make this little Cinco de Mayo treat in just 10 minutes! Add a sprinkling of snipped streamers and a lollipop stick to use as a pinata stick, and it’s ready to be bust open!

There’s just something so satisfying about breaking open your treat! You could frost these and add sprinkles, or fill with something healthy like berries. Endless possibilities. Have a festive Cinco de Mayo!

How adorable! Did you bake it with the jelly beans in it? I was wondering if they cracked when you hit the pinata with the stick?

Nope. Just baked the pie dough, then filled with jelly beans. She broke open the crust to get to the jelly beans! The beans stayed intact :)
