2009 Earth Week Giveaway #5: TreBimbi Click Flatware Set – Now Closed

trebimbi-flatware

And the final giveaway for Earth Week is a TreBimbo Click Flatware Set, courtesy of The Soft Landing. The flatware is made from non-toxic polypropylene and stainless steel, and the pieces click together like Legos. Z Recommends, who reviewed this set, says they’re best for ages 4 and up, and the best things about them are that they click together firmly (making for easy travel) and “they are cute”. Stinkin’ cute, I say. Because I’ve been wanting to use stinkin’ as an adjective.

Thanks again to The Soft Landing for providing this set! If you haven’t yet checked out The Soft Landing, Earth Week is the perfect time to take a look. It’s an online store run by Alicia Vorhees, a recently retired RN who turned a search for safe feeding gear into a full time pursuit of nontoxic baby gear. Of course, so many products that are good for your little ones are also good for the earth – including a big selection of bottles, sippy cups, and reusable containers for packing lunches.

To enter, just leave a comment on this post by midnight MST on Friday, April 24. Anonymous comments won’t count. The winner will be randomly chosen and announced on April 27. If I don’t hear back from the winner by April 30, another winner will be chosen. One entry per person please. Thanks and good luck!

Remember, all Earth Week giveaways are open until Friday, so be sure to enter the others too!

It has been such fun to host all these giveaways this week. I loved reading all your comments, and getting to offer up such great prizes, thanks to the generous companies who provided them!

P.S. I also have to say that it is pretty cool to be at the top of the search results for something Oprah featured on her Earth Day Show. Apparently she talked about “reusable straws”. Go ahead. Google it. You’ll see this little blog right up top. I didn’t know about the Oprah mention until someone told me in their comments, so I was wondering what caused the sudden huge surge of traffic from people searching for reusable straws. Now I know. When Oprah talks, people google. Good PR tip to keep in mind!

Oh, me likey! These little guys look like they are made by LEGO, which is really funny considering that Chad is “playing” with LEGO pieces right now – building a Ferris Wheel attached to a solar panel for a science experiment I am doing with my class next week. How earth-friendly is that?! Anyway, we are always on the go … traveling to Denver at the end of May … and we could definitely use some flatware that travels well :)

Congrats on all the hits. First Margie and Tricia go to the Oprah show and this week an item you featured was also featured by Oprah … mere coincidence?!

I know these are suppose to be for kids but these would be nice for DH’s lunch versus taking my regular silverware to work :)

Sooo stinkin’ cute, I agree! They remind me of these Japanese utensils I have (and cherish) with smiley faces actually cut into the metal. Thanks for the weeks’ worth of green giveaways!
