Fun Finds For Mom

Great deal on insulated food containers

So I finally broke down and bought two of these food containers at Pottery Barn Kids not too long ago. They were $16 each, but I convinced myself I wasn’t going to find them anywhere else for less — and I had a gift card from a recall on our PBK roman shades, so it kind of felt like fun money. But Then. I saw the very same containers this week at Cost Plus World Market for $6.99 each. What a deal!

These insulated jars have been a great way to pack the kids some new foods in their lunches. So far I’ve used them to keep mac & cheese warm, and cottage cheese and berries cold. I took this photo today, but not sure how long they’ll offer these at this price.

Here’s a closer look:

To me, they look exactly the same as these:

While you’re there, you might also like their knockoff of “I am not a paper cup“. I can’t stand the taste of coffee out of a metal or plastic travel mug, and I know I shouldn’t be precariously balancing my regular size ceramic coffee mug on my car’s cupholder. So I can’t wait to take my coffee to go in my new ceramic mug (with a silicone lid):

This was $7.99. Go Cost Plus, with your too cool knockoffs.

What a bargain! I seriously need one of those non-paper cups, got coffee ALL over the car the other day trying to balance my mug on the console!

I used it and I loved it. My coffee tasted good and I drove safely with a cup that actually fit in my cupholder. The silicone lid was a little smelly when I sipped from the cup, but didn’t affect the flavor at all. I may get a few more for my gift-giving stash.
