My sister who lives in Japan has discovered the cutest series of children’s books about two mice named Guri and Gura. They were written in the 60’s and are popular classics in Japan. My son loves the two she’s gotten them: Guri and Gura, and Guri and Gura’s Seaside Adventure. They are simple well-written stories with bright colorful pictures. She couldn’t find the Seaside Adventure book in English, so she translated the whole book and wrote the English version on each page. Now that I know they’re available online in English, I just might have to add another Guri and Gura to the collection!
