I got the idea when we ran into a friend of my son's at the grocery store, and she was sitting in the cart munching them right out of the bag. I thought it was a little odd at the time, but when I tried it, they loved them. It's funny, I've since met a few people who said their kids do too. One even gives them to her kids in an ice cream cone!
