Kid Size (Plastic-Free) Stainless Silverware

Oneida-Kids-Silverware.jpg

If you’re thinking about replacing your kids’ plates and bowls with the non-plastic variety, you’re probably not feeling too good about all the plastic utensils they’re eating with either. I’ve been trying to transition my 17-month old to regular silverware, but she can’t quite manage the spoons and forks the rest of the family eats with.

I like the variety of children’s silverware from Oneida. They carry both baby size and kid size. If you’re like me and can’t tell which size would work best, you might like this Paul Revere 6 Piece Progress Set. Individual baby or kid spoons/forks/knives are also available in other styles including Peter Rabbit, Cubby Bear and Doughboy. These styles all remind me of my favorite Donald Duck spoon I had as a kid. Does anyone remember that Disney kids silverware from the ’70′s?

I think this would make a great gift for a 1st birthday. And because it comes from a reputable silverware company like Oneida, I would imagine the quality is as good as it looks online.

Another great idea, and yes I have been wanting to replace their plastic and coated baby spoons.
