Last-minute Valentines

I made some of these candy-filled paper hearts several years ago for my husband. In my cubicle at work. On Valentine’s Day. This was before we had kids, and I really had no excuse for waiting until the last possible minute to put a Valentine together. I must have picked up a Martha Stewart Magazine that day, and then at lunch, I ran out and bought red paper at the craft store and Dove dark chocolate hearts. I remember everyone wondering why I was being so craftsy behind my cubicle walls, and then I ended up making extras for a few guys in my group to take home to their wives.
My son and I did this project last week and hung up the hearts on our mantle hooks, where our stockings were hanging not too long ago. I haven’t gotten any Valentine candy yet, so they’re currently filled with leftover candy canes. Merry Valentines!
