Muffin Tin Mondays

I know it’s not Monday, but I just stumbled upon a great idea on Sycamore Stirrings for serving fun bento-box style lunches in muffin tins. It’s kind of like taking the kid salad idea to the next level and making a whole meal out of it. I’m excited to give it a try!

I just had to tell you that I thought this was the cutest idea and that I served my daughter lunch from my muffin pan over the weekend. She completely loved it and emptied every cup, and she thought I was the world’s most clever mom too. Thanks for the fun, easy, creative idea!

I’m so glad to hear it! I tried it this weekend too, and my kids loved it. The cream cheese circle was the most popular. I think all the other items made it over for a dip. They ended up emptying every cup except the one with the chewed up and spit out cucumber chunks. My son said he wanted to have this kind of lunch every day!

I noticed this idea in the photos you sent this weekend. And I thought, “That Elaina is just so darn clever!” My next thought was that my muffin tins are in seriously sad shape … I think I need to invest in a new one before giving this a try … and by try, I mean I’ll be having a muffin tin inspired lunch in the very near future :)
