My Baggus Have Arrived!
My Baggu reusable grocery bags arrived this week! Although I haven’t actually gone grocery shopping with them yet, I did use one at Cost Plus this weekend while purchasing some Mrs. Myers dish soap, a little tray and some Barry’s tea. So, what do I think so far? First, I love how compact my Baggus are. So easy to fold up and pop into their little envelope and keep in your purse for any time you need them. Much better than lugging around dirty old canvas tote bags that take up space in your car (and then you forget to bring them into the store). Their size is great too because they hold as much as 2 to 3 regular plastic grocery bags. And I’m relieved that I can finally stop throwing away so many plastic bags that end up in our oceans and landfills.
BUT, I highly recommend getting yours in an inconspicuous color like black. I was feeling kind of zany when I ordered mine, so I got one red, one aqua and one olive. When I unfurled my bright aqua Baggu at Cost Plus, I felt totally obnoxious, like I was proclaiming to everyone within a 50-foot radius (especially to my cashier guy) “Look at me! I’m so proud of myself for singlehandedly saving the world with my huge neon eco-bag!” Okay, I just noticed that the Baggu website does not even carry that aqua color any more. You’re safe.

I’m ordering my bagus today. I regret not ordering them earlier as I’ve been hitting the mall heavier than usual this month
I have another reusable bag that I keep in my trunk as it is too big for my purse, and I am constantly forgetting to take it out of the trunk when I need it! Great idea!
