Nina & Grapey sock monsters and dolls
Meet Dalia and Marvin — the handmade doll and monster I got for my kids at this weekend’s Hissyfits Craft Fair. They were made by Jannine Doto of nina & grapey, and are just about the most adorable things I’ve ever seen. I intended to give them as Christmas or Hanukkah gifts, but couldn’t resist giving them to my son and daughter within about 5 minutes of getting home from the fair. All the monsters came with a nametag — this guy’s said “Hello, my name is Marvin” — and let me tell you, Marvin is already a very loved member of the family.
Jannine sells her sock monkeys, dolls and monsters in stores locally, at craft fairs, or directly — if you contact her with your order. Wouldn’t they look cute peeking out of stockings on Christmas morning? You can find these cuties at ninaandgrapey.com or on Facebook. (At the craft fair this weekend, dolls were $15 and monsters were $12.)
