No sew fringed t-shirt bags
I have always loved the Life is Good brand — and this little yoga dude — but their boxy t-shirts never looked so great on me. After staring at this shirt in my drawer for years without wearing it, I finally gave it new life as a library book bag. If you have a t-shirt you can’t bring yourself to get rid of, but you know you’re never going to wear it, this is a quick and easy project. Here’s what you do:
1. Cut off sleeves and neck, and cut bottom part into strips.
Make sure you have an even number of strips, because you’ll be tying them off, and they’ll all need a partner!
Tie those double knots tightly! Don’t they look pretty?
I then trimmed the neck and arms a little more, to make it look more bag-like and less like a t-shirt. Voila – a new bag to gather up the library books and get them returned before you rack up another $40 fine!
