Peanut Butter Bread
Guess what. You don’t need a bread maker to make bread! I came across this super groovy 70s cookbook, Super Natural (that I must have picked up at a book sale) and tried the Peanut Butter Bread recipe. It was fast and easy to make and tastes pretty good — crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and mildly peanut buttery. I made some modifications to the recipe, using half wheat flour and skipping the sugar. I topped mine with honey. The recipe says it tastes best when it’s a day old, so I’ll have to have it for breakfast tomorrow too!
Are any of you bread makers? I could get into this.

I baked some walnut bread with a recipe from my Betty Crocker cookbook, and substituted the white flour for 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 oatmeal…making it turn out chewy and yummy. The nuts were a bit old though, which made it taste a bit waxy…fresh is always best, isn’t it!
The peanut butter bread looks super nummy!!
