Until recently, my 4-year old spent more time chewing on his toothbrush than actually brushing his teeth. So we’ve been going through quite a few toothbrushes. I let him pick out his brush at Target recently, and he picked this Firefly toothbrush. It has a built-in LED light on the bottom that starts flashing when you push it, and continues flashing for 60 seconds to let your child know how long they have to brush. He is now so into the flashing light and making sure he gets his 60 seconds of brushing in, he really has cut down on the brush chewing and gets in his full minute of dental hygiene. And you can always have them push it twice on cavity-inducing days like today!
