Reisenthel Market Baskets

reisenthel-market-basket.jpg

If you’re looking for a stylish grocery basket with a flat bottom, I love the look of these German Reisenthel Market Baskets. Also good for picnicking in the park, going to the farmer’s market, gathering vegetables from the garden, or other European countryside-like activities. Available in red, black, olive, or flora print.

On a related note, Whole Foods announced last week that they will phase out plastic bags. Their goal is to be “plastic bag-free” by Earth Day, April 22, 2008. I am guessing other grocery stores will soon follow. What better reason to treat yourself to a Market Basket and perhaps some Baggus too!

Update: You also might like the kids Reisenthel basket (also known as carrybag XS). It’s a miniature version of the original that comes with an integrated drawstring cover flap for keeping snacks and toys safe and dry. Available in pink and red for $26.99 at annecys.com

$39.95 at reusablebags.com
