Simple Packaging and Fun Entertaining Ideas

Gingerbread House

I have always been a little crazy about packaging, and I love basic brown, white or clear bags, boxes, and containers because I can customize my gifts, baked goods, or party favors just the way I like. So I am going kinds of nuts about a website I found called Garnish. I’m not sure what I like better — the extensive selection of packaging items or their creative ideas about how to use them.

I would feel like such an overachiever mom if I took on just one of the entertaining ideas dreamed up and photographed by the “mompreneurs” who run Garnish. We’re talking gingerbread house parties with windowed takeaway boxes and gingerbread men in cello bags tied with candy-cane striped twine, and mid-winter’s day afternoon get-togethers where guests go home with individually packaged s’mores kits and lidded hot chocolate cups.

I’m pretty sure I’ll never have my friends over for a cookie swap party, but I’m still tempted to stock up on the gable boxes, takeout containers and cellophane bags, just because I love them.
