If you go to Smart & Silky's parent company website www.chompsolutions.com you can read about their philosophy regarding all their products.
Direct quote from the above listed website: "Our driving philosophy is to give you outstanding cleaning performance with less toxic formulations that are safer for you, your family and your home.
All of our products will introduce you to new cleaning technologies as compared to current, conventional cleaners. If we can't make it better and safer, we won't make it at all!"
They seem to be a company making a conscious effort to create better products for the consumer & the environment.
I came across Smart & Silky, while shopping for a different natural hand sanitizer at Target, and my kids & I all really like Smart & Silky much better than any other sanitizer we have tried.

I'm finishing up an article on natural soaps and cleaners. Not hand sanitizers per se, but good clean fun for your skin. Olde Maids Inc. (www.oldemaidsinc.com) has a window cleaner made from green tea, and a powdered laundry soap that is all natural and septic safe.

I also *love* the bar soap and shampoo/bodywash from Sacred Acres Healing Arts (www.sacredacreshealingarts.com), and more natural, organic body soaps from Earth Sisters Natural Soap and Candles (www.earthsistersherbals.com).

They are fun sites to peruse and will be on my gift lists this year!

We use CleanWell and I really like it. Just seems so much safer than the alcohol-based alternatives. And, I'm with you - although not a huge fan of hand sanitizers in general, with everything going around nowadays, I think it's better to use them then not when you have no other hand-cleaning options available.

I've been using Cleanwell for several years (way before you could find it at Target) and I really like it. It does the job, is easy to use, and isn't made by a company I don't want to support.
