I bought these Keen ‘Targhee’ Athletic Shoes for my son today. Yes, it’s the Nordstrom half-yearly women and kids sale. Were these shoes on sale? Of course not. But they’re so ding-dang great-looking and I NEVER buy expensive shoes for my kids. In fact, I wanted a pair of Keens for myself this summer, and found a similar pair at Lands End for half the price instead (which I love). But here’s my justification: they’re well made, look great, and will withstand his tough play. And when he put them on, he did his hopscotch test across the wood floor and his smile was priceless. Honey, please don’t make me return them!

Update: I did return them, but I kept these cute shoes for my daughter. And they were more than half-off!
