Fun Finds For Mom

Sweet Salvage

Do all you Phoenix gals know about Sweet Salvage? I went for the first time this morning, and was so impressed. Sweet Salvage is a once a month event (the third Thurs-Sun of each month) where the doors of a warehouse are flung open and a snaking line of cute ladies (and a few guys) wind their way inside to find home decorating treasures galore. The Sweet Salvage blog describes it as a “unique mix of fresh home decor, From French antiques, to vintage mod to incredible industrial”. It will make you want to decorate your house like anthropologie (if you didn’t already). Today was crazy, but I’ve heard that Friday through Sunday are not as crowded, and that the vendors restock their goodies. So go this weekend and tell me what you think! Address, hours, and calendar of future events are at sweetsalvage.net.

Here’s a peek inside:

I scored two big wood boxes with hinged lids and metal handles (for my daughter’s collections), a glass cupcake pedestal with cloche lid, some old maps and vintage flash cards. My friend bought this metal “U” that must have been 8 or 10 feet tall.

And my mama, Sweet Phyllis, found a lamp, silverware, trays and more. Look how happy (and cute) she is:

Did you go? What did you get?
