Taro Gomi Books

My aunt gave Taro Gomi’s Everyone Poops book to my son at a critical juncture in his potty-training journey. This became his “potty book” immediately, and he insisted on reading it at each bathroom visit. Something about reading about other people and animals pooping just clicked. Even when my husband and I returned from our first kid-free trip to find he had gone on a potty strike, an incentive of his Everyone Poops book and a cup of prune juice was all it took to get him out of the pull-ups and back on the pot!
Scribbles and Doodles, also by Gomi, remind me a lot of a book I had when I was a kid, the Anti-Coloring book. They offer great thought-starters, but don’t provide the lines to color in.
$10.15 - Everyone Poops
$12.89 - Scribbles or Doodles
$9.56 - Anti-Coloring Book
