Tea Party Fixins
My sweet daughter turned 2 yesterday and she has been fully enjoying her presents today! She’s been clomping around the house all day, wearing her shiny Hello Kitty sandals (or my flip-flops when she can get her hands on them), toting her new “purse” over her shoulder, and carrying her new baby doll with her wee little bottle.
When she stops to play, it’s usually to have a tea party. We’ve had many of these already with her tea set, and these tea set “condiments” from this Plan Toys Food and Beverage Set. I ordered these online, having not seen them in person first. They are such a great addition to a 2 year old’s tea party. I especially like the strawberry jam and honey pots, because the lids come on and off. She loves capping and uncapping them, using her little spoon to spread the jam or honey on bread or feed her dollies right from the pots. I wish the lids came off the other bottles, but I guess they’d be choking hazards due to their size. All the pieces have a nice smooth solid wood feel. They’re made in Thailand from recycled organic rubber wood and painted with eco-friendly water based dyes. Does it get any more natural than that? I’m itching to go toss out some plastic toys now.
