When I picked up my son from preschool yesterday, he was so excited to show me this book that his teacher read at story time. She was kind enough to let him take it home, and I was pretty amazed at what a jazz lover he has suddenly become, all because of this book and the CD it comes with. We played the CD at least 4 or 5 times yesterday, and another 3 times this morning. He kept looking at me with such a genuinely happy smile saying “Mommy, isn’t this music GREAT?!”

Now I can’t stop chanting “ZA-baza, BOO-zaba, ZEE-zah, RO-ni” (or some variation, because he keeps telling me I didn’t quite get it right). My new mission is to track down a kid-friendly jazz club in town.
