Tiny kitchen items from King Arthur Flour
I’m loving the selection of “mini gadgets” at the King Arthur Flour website. I think it’s a little strange that a flour company has such an awesome online store. But I guess when you sell flour, you have to do something to stand out besides make really good flour, right? Anyway, here are a few of my favorites…
You may have seen the new trend of cupcake shops now selling “shots” of icing. With these little dessert shot glasses, you can serve your own assortment of teensy treats at home. Great for entertaining, portion control, or limiting the kids’ sugar intake before bedtime. They also sell mini spoons to go with them. If you’re really into this idea, they sell a 12 shot/12 spoon set. Next up… sugar bears
I think I’d use these Baby Sugar Bears as cinnamon holders. My kids love sprinkling their own cinnamon on applesauce, but the plastic flaps are so severely bent backward on the cinnamon tin, we had a little cinnamon overload incident last time they tried it. Or you can do as King Arthur suggests, and use his little “capped head” to sprinkle cinnamon sugar on toast. Finally… condiment cups

These stainless steel condiment cups would be great for individual dips, soy sauce, or covertly eating from your own private chocolate chip stash when the kids aren’t looking (or is it only my husband and I who do this?). They come with plastic snap-on lids too. It might even be fun to serve 6 mini portions of different foods in these cups for lunch, as a twist on the Muffin Tin meal idea.
