Zaky Infant Pillow

zaky-infant-pillow.jpg

I heard about these “bean bag hands” from a friend a few weeks ago. She had a friend who raved about how they helped her baby sleep. Yes, I had many times with my babies where I would have to sloooowly release my hands from their bodies as I lay them down in the crib, so they wouldn’t wake up. But something about these Zaky Infant Pillows is kind of disturbing to me. Maybe it’s just this photo that looks like the Muppet Show’s Swedish Chef is reaching out of the bed to cradle your baby. Or the thought of spending $80 for a pair of hands. But I suppose if it buys you and your baby extra sleep, it’s worth it.

I must say, the hands creep me out. As an alternative, I very highly recommend the miracle blanket (which is already mentioned on the website), which swaddles new babies perfectly. We found it easy to put them down in the crib and it doubled the amout of sleep both of our kids slept the first night we tried it!
