It’s not too late to make an advent calendar!
If you’ve been wanting to make a calendar to count down the days until Christmas, just jump in on whatever date in December suits you. I started Dec. 6, so I only included 20 boxes. If it looks familiar, it’s because I copied this advent calendar I spotted last year on Pinterest.
I bought tiny boxes, stick-on velcro squares and round labels. Then I filled each box with a little gift. Here’s what the kids opened this morning:
Here’s a peek inside a couple of the other boxes:
I had a piece of foam core that I attached the boxes on like this:
Tonight my daughter will add numbers to the labels, and I will tuck a few more special notes inside the boxes with surprise activities. This might be a fun little tradition for the 8 nights of Hanukkah too — or at least for 7 or 6 nights of Hanukkah if you can’t get to it by tomorrow!
