Fun Finds For Mom

Phoenix Fridays – Breakfast with the Elephants!

If you’re looking for some activities to do with the kids once they’re out of school, you may be interested in some of the Family Programs offered at the Phoenix Zoo. During the month of May, the Zoo is offering special breakfasts where kids ages 2-5 with their caregivers can join “the girls” Indu, Reeba and Sheena (pictured above) for a light breakfast and some hands-on activities. Yes, it’s heating up. But the good news is these events are early. You’ll meet on the bridge before the zoo opens  and take a short walk to the breakfast spot.

The Elephant Breakfasts will be held May 19, 20, 27 and 28 at 8am. Space is limited, so sign up online here, or call 602.914.4333 for reservations. The cost is $22.50 for members (includes one child plus their caregiver) or $40 for non-members.

And if you don’t live in Phoenix, you may want to check your local zoo for educational animal programs to try this summer. Lots of zoos, including the Phoenix Zoo, offer camps where kids get to interact with zoo animals and learn more about zookeeping.
