Fun Finds For Mom

Post Goodness

I was recently asked by Post Cereal to serve as their Phoenix Goodness Expert for the new Post Goodness campaign. What better title could there be, really? My official duties are to turn in a Good News report and assign a Phoenix Goodness Score three times a week on the site PostGoodness.com. I’ve been doing this for several weeks, so I now know how uplifting it can be to sniff out the good news that sometimes seems to be hiding behind the headlines. Here are some examples:

Recent Phoenix Good News Updates:

  • Phoenix’s Will Claye earned an Olympic silver medal in the triple jump. Score!
  • PetSmart joined with a local non-profit to create an emergency shelter that accommodates families with pets.
  • A 25-pound tortoise named Harriet was reunited with its owner, after it was found roaming the streets of Gilbert by a police officer a week ago.

In addition to providing Goodness Forecasts for the whole country, the site also lets you post your own Goodness Intentions for the day, because good days start with good intentions. Even if you don’t want to post an intention, it’s fun to read other people’s intentions, which you can sort by topic (coffee, yoga, happiness, etc.) or geographic location.

Post is paying me a fee for my work as a Goodness Expert — and they sent me a CASE of my choice of Post cereals. Much to my kids’ delight, I chose Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, which makes a great granola-ish topping for breakfast yogurt parfaits!

Post Cereal would also like to send a Prize Basket filled with a variety of cereal boxes to one of you! To enter, just leave a comment sharing your favorite Post Cereal. Check them all out here.

Please leave a comment on this post by midnight MST on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. The winner will be randomly chosen and announced by August 23. If I don’t hear back from the winner, another winner will be chosen. One entry per person please. Thanks and good luck!

Congratulations to Sarita, who was randomly picked at the winner of this giveaway!
